si tach installation?

hi,
i drive a '90 civic dx hb (5-speed), but you probably know this model did not come with a tachometer built into the guage cluster. i bought an si cluster from a friend of mine that has a tach, but when i tried to put it in, realised that i would have to mess around with the wiring. this is where i am kinda lost. any info would be helpful.

Hey Tim thanks for posting. You shouldnt have to rewire anything. You may be having a issue if you are trying to use a pre 90-91 Cluster. The 88-89 clusters are different then the 90-91's. I actually swapped in a 91 Si Cluster on my 90 DX automatic without a problem, it was just a plug and play. Let me know what year the cluster is from, thanks
